UNCOVER 2011 - CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
- The deadline for entries is 10 September 2011, 10am WST. Late entries will not be accepted.
- Open to all Australian residents.
- Open to all photographic themes and processes.
- Open to all artists operating within their first 5 years of practice.
- Each entry must concentrate on an individual series’ or concept.
- All entries must be submitted digitally online. No email entries will be accepted.
- Entrants must submit a minimum of 4 and no more than 8 images.
- Images must be sized at 300dpi with 1200 pixels on the longest side and saved as a jpeg, approx quality 10. 1mb max size limit per image.
- Entrants may enter more than one series’. A separate entry fee and online form is required.
- The entry/administration fee is $25 for all entrants and payment must be made on or before the deadline. Posted cheques/money orders must be postmarked or delivered on or before the due date.
- PCP Committee members and staff are not eligible to enter.
- Entries that do not meet full criteria and entry conditions will be excluded from the pre-selection phase without discussion.
- Entry fees are not refundable.
- Entries will not be returned.
- Finalists will be notified by email within 12 days after the deadline.
- Finalists will have their work included in a screening on the evening of the 29th of September 2011. This screening will remain on continuous loop in the gallery for the remainder of the exhibition from 30 Sept to 23 Oct 2011.
- The winner will be announced on the opening night and will be awarded with exhibition space at no cost during second half of 2012.
- Uncover is an open award. The criteria for selection is photography series’ that are new, innovative, unique and engaging with a solid conceptual basis.
- The judging panel’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- By entering the competition you confirm that you are the creator and owner of the work and that you have the permission of the subject/s if applicable to be exhibited.
- Although each artist automatically retains copyright of artworks, PCP reserves the right to apply submitted images to PCP related media/marketing material. A credit to the artists name will be included where possible on each occasion.
- All entries must have been produced after 2009 and not before.
