Artist Bio
Ché' is a photographic artist whose work explores the natural environment and our place within it. He is interested in what landscapes carry; how they impress upon us and we impress upon them.
 
 More recently his creative practice has been shaped by his time in the field working as a botanist & ecologist and reflects his own grappling with the dissonance between the striving for scientific exactitude and the subjectivity of working intimately in the field with people and place.

This image forms part of an ongoing study into the Tamala Limestone — the karst topography that punctuates Perth’s coastal fringe and its offshore islands; a soluble, malleable sedimentary stone born of - and forever wrought by - wind and water.
