Zoë Croggon’s, Pool and Shadow Boxing consider the relationship between the human body and modern architecture.

The series poses questions on the role humans play in their environment and the affects this has on the rhythmic movements of our lives. The body has long been the focus of Croggon’s work, presenting the trained body and modern architecture as fascinating counterparts. Croggon is a Melbourne-based artist primarily working with found photographs; studying texture, light and form to examine the limits of pictorial abstraction and metamorphosis.
