Food Glorious Food!

Join photomedia artist Sherry Quiambao for a playful and creative food photography workshop. Discover the exciting world of still life photography in our deliciously creative workshop. Play with food in a whole new way – learn to arrange, squash, and drop yummy treats in the most fun and artistic manner, all while capturing captivating images through your lens. No prior experience is required – just a passion for photography and a love for tasty treats! Your child will learn:

  • Camera and lighting basics: how to set up and position their camera for the most impressive food shots;
  • Lighting setup for still life photography;
  • Composition and assemblage techniques;
  • Incorporating the elements and principles of design into photographs.

At the conclusion of the session, participants will have created their own fun artwork. Additionally, they will be given the option to order a professionally printed A4 copy of their artwork.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR

Sherry Quiambao is an artist, arts worker and educator based in Boorloo. Creatively practicing in the field of photomedia and installation, her work explores the relationship between found objects, memory, cultural heritage, and consumption. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions throughout Australia, the Philippines, and the United States of America. Sherry currently teaches through her venture Inside Art space and, in her spare time, likes to garden and play with her three cats.
