Point Field #2
By Lyle Branson
Artist Bio
Lyle Branson investigates the complexities of human conditions, dystopian visions, human intervention and the psychological experience of the landscape. His practice explores the intersections of these themes, revealing the visible and hidden effects of human presence on environments and society. Branson constructs his works by gathering various materials, ranging from found objects collected during walks, the internet, books, and other sources. This eclectic approach allows him to create layered, textural pieces that encourage viewers to engage with the complexity of his themes. His process is intuitive and investigative, allowing disparate materials to coalesce into contemplative works that provoke deeper reflection on dystopian realities that are reshaping our world today.
