Artist Bio
Born in England, Stefan emigrated to Perth with his parents in 1972. Stefan worked in media photographics before pursuing a career in contemporary art. He studied Graphic Design at Perth Tech and later Fine Art at Central Metro School of Design and Claremont College. In 1992 Stefan relocated to New South Wales, basing himself in Sydney and Byron Bay where he worked as an artist for over two decades. Stefan holds a Masters of Visual Art from Sydney College of the Arts, the University of Sydney and has exhibited along side some of the leading artists of his generation. Stefan now lives and works in Perth WA.
Artist Statement / Description of artwork
Wandoo Burn' while riding my motorcycle through Wandoo National Park, East of Perth, I came across an area still alight from a recent prescribed burn. This shot atempts to capture the beauty and resilience of our state's unique natural heritage.
