As my long term relationship of over 13 years comes to an end, I board a plane to another city and fall into the arms of those who love me.  
 
An ex-lover, a mentor, a friend. My little queer community - softening my landing as I say goodbye to her; crying on shoulders and sobbing on broad chests. An era of heteronormativity comes to an end as I shed the expectations and commitments that come with it. Now I open myself to new ways of being. 
 
In the dead of night, we create our own rituals of flesh & fire. Of faggotry, of fairies, of endings, of beginnings.
 
 
Jeff is a photographer & filmmaker, specialising in portraiture and creative direction. Usually working from his studio in Brunswick, Victoria, his work balances themes of joy, queerness and the many embodiments of darkness. Years of honing his approach to light + movement evokes cinematic haze with a recognisable colour palette.  
 
As a finalist for the National Photographic Portrait Prize in 2025, Jeff will be exhibiting new work in Canberra this August-October. Having also exhibited his work in group + solo exhibitions in Queensland and Victoria, Jeff looks to dive further into capturing the world around him from the shadow side; looking into the light.
