Artist Statement / Description of artwork 
La Tavola di Domenica (The Sunday Table) is a documentary-style series that explores the intimacy and rituals of Sunday lunch within Italian culture. This portfolio captures the authentic and unposed moments such as the hand rolling pasta dough, and the nostalgia of seeing children participate in the things you once did. Each frame aimed to achieve that warm nostalgic feeling of cultural heritage and intergenerational connection. The focus for this project was to document my family as they are, without disrupting the scene. I wanted the viewer to feel like a guest at our table, and to experience the cluttered and chaotic, yet, orchestrated Sunday lunch.
