Artist Statement / Description of artwork 
Despite spending much of my early life in Hong Kong, I moved to Australia at an age when my identity developed more as an Australian rather than someone from Hong Kong. I still, however, regularly travelled the 6,000 kilometres between my family's home in Perth, and the rest of my family’s apartment in Hong Kong. Since I was young, the differences between the two cultures has always fascinated me and I aim to explore this in this work. By mixing analogue and digital techniques - capturing, printing, cutting, and combining images from both locations - this series highlights the contrast between Hong Kong’s rigid, business-driven lifestyle and Australia's generally more laid-back way of life.
