Artist Statement / Description of artwork 
 This self-portrait was created during a road trip to Serpentine Falls, taken at a moment in my life defined by displacement, uncertainty, and quiet resilience. As a 22-year-old immigrant and international student living in Australia, I often find myself navigating unfamiliar landscapes—externally and internally. The image reflects the emotional weight of pursuing a creative path in a foreign country: the comparisons, the failures, the loneliness, and the constant search for direction. Standing alone in this vast rural space, I used the camera to pause, to reflect, and to momentarily find clarity within the fog of becoming.
