Bio
Daniel Marano weaves light to capture the interstitial spaces between reality and dreams. Marano is a photographer, musician and film-maker currently based in Fremantle, Western Australia. Exhibiting across Australia, and overseas, his works utilise simple, repeated, hypnotic layers of ambient textures to create meditative reflections on nature.
 
Statement 
This work explores themes of transcendence and the inadequacy of our tools to fully capture natural phenomena. The camera, pushed to its limits, produces an image that hovers between failure and revelation. What we see is not the sun itself but evidence of its power—the way it overwhelms sensors, bleaches colour to white, and creates halos of interference and distortion.
